It's the dawning of a brand new age
Time to step ahead and turn the page
Seize the moment and take center stage
Sing an encore... one more time!

To Branson Students/Parents
Submitted by choirdad on Sunday, March 27, 2005 - 9:05pm General Choir Chat

Dear Parents/Students:

The time has finally arrived for our trip to Branson Missouri! We hope that everyone will have a great time and return home with wonderful memories of a safe, but tiring trip! We have a few last minute reminders:

  • Please be at the high school at entrance I by 4:15 AM Monday, April 4. Bring your luggage to the choir room for inspection. The bus will arrive at 5:00 AM, departing shortly thereafter, and it would be a shame if you missed the trip.
  • Please bring something for breakfast and a snack to share, it will be a few hours before we stop. The travel time is approximately 8 hours, not including stops.
  • You are not allowed to leave your car in the high school parking lot while we are gone. Please have someone drop you off at the school.
  • A final written itinerary will be given to everyone Monday night; however, if you want to check it out now, or parents want to know details, the itinerary is here on the web site.
  • The long range forecast for Branson (compliments of weather.com) shows a possibility for rain later in the week and temperatures in the mid to upper 60's and perhaps the lower 70's. Plan your wardrobe accordingly.
  • Lastly, remember that daylight savings time begins on Sunday, April 3. Our actual return time may be earlier than what was provided by our tour company.

See you Monday... EARLY MONDAY... VERY EARLY MONDAY!

New Graphics!
Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Saturday, January 22, 2005 - 9:18pm General Choir Chat

Hey Hey!  This goes out to my man Tom Dobes!  Many of the people in choir have noticed that the title graphic with pictures of choir people in it on the home page is pretty outdated.   All of the people graduated either two or three years ago.   It would be great if you could make a new picture with some of the current choir people in it.  Just a suggestion!  Thanks a million!

Love, Jacqueline

A Holiday Message From Mr. Festa (Choir Booster President)
Submitted by choirdad on Tuesday, November 30, 2004 - 7:47pm General Choir Chat

Hello all, I hope you had a pleasant Thanksgiving break. A few reminders as we race towards the Holiday Break in a few weeks. First ISSMA, this is mandatory for 2nd and 3rd hour students. Please be sure to make your song selection from the approved list. As I recall the deadline for the applications to be post marked is December 4th…THIS SATURDAY!

Second, we always need help in decorating for the Holiday concert. Mr. Emig spends countless hours of his own time, as does Tom Dobes, Mrs. Neiman and others. Please check with Mr. Emig and come and spend an hour or two, we would really appreciate the help.

Rumor Control
Submitted by choirdad on Sunday, October 17, 2004 - 3:59pm General Choir Chat

Hello, to all who frequent this site. Please do not confuse this with any anonymous posts you read. This is Mr. Festa, the Choir Booster President, with a word on rumors. It has come to my attention that SOMEONE is saying that NEXT YEAR the spring trip will be to NYC. All I can say in response to that is wow, good one! Next school year is next school year, and there has been absolutely NO conversation between the booster officers and the directors on this topic. There has been discussion on this year’s trip to Branson. We are going to Branson, the trip is planned and the itinerary is just about set, therefore if you are in 10th, 11th or 12th grade you have these two options...ready, option 1-GO or option 2-Don't GO. It's just that simple. We would like to have you on this trip, as it is said, "the more the merrier" and it does help keep down the cost. Many of last years graduating choir class said it was the best trip they had been on, so I'll take them at their word. This said, I would tell you this, if Branson is cancelled due to lack of participants it is unlikely that there will be a spring trip next year either. We are exploring the concept of one trip every three to four years for financial feasibility. Thank you for your time, and if you have any questions that you have please feel free to e-mail me at D_Festa@MSN.com and ..."Have a Good Day."
