Sonic Youth's Teenage Riot is a great song. Among other things that are great and should be listened to (as I am doing at this moment): Interpol - PDA, They Might Be Giants - Particle Man, The Vines - Get Free, REM - It's The End of the World As We Know it, - Everybody Hurts, - Orange Crush, - Losing My Religion, Bjork & Thom Yorke - I've Seen It All, Radiohead - Gagging Order, I Am A Wicked Child, I Am Citizen Insane, Fastball - Out of My Head

Hey Evereyone. Don't you just hate that one kid in class who screws around and is just taking the course for an easy A. Their's a kid in our class like that. He falling asleep in class like 5 or 6 time and has gotten kicked out twice for it. And better yet he is caught with gum EVERY single day.
Who has gotten 2 detentions for it which is threw both of them away. Yeah, thats REAL smart. The sonner he get kick out, the better. half the time i don't even hear him singing and he call me a bad singer, lol, thats an insult. I could out sing him anyday of the week. Ok, i feel better after blowing off that steam. Feel free to e-mail me any comments, just put that ur in Chior at MHS in the subject, so it won't get deleted. Thanks a bunch,

Say "NO" to Chicago
Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Wednesday, October 8, 2003 - 8:48pm General Choir Chat
As many of you may know, certain choir booster members, who shall remain nameless, have taken it upon themselves to decide that we will be going to Chicago for two days for our annual trip over spring break. This is absolutely absurd! Why would we want to take a trip to Chicago when we could go there any old time? I think that there are many alternatives that we aren't considering. Maybe most students don't care if they will be gone during holy week. Maybe the students should be asked before it's decided that no one would be able to go during holy week. Maybe certain booster members haven't even considered the fact that we have a four day weekend during february that might be an alternative. Maybe we should take all these things into consideration before making a decision. Some of us are seniors, and do not want to miss our last choir trip because we're going somewhere lame. So my final plea to the boosters: Please don't make any hasty decisions that will leave you with an empty bus in April. Consider the feelings of the students, the ones who really count, instead of only thinking of your own agendas.

Shirts
Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Wednesday, September 10, 2003 - 6:31pm General Choir Chat
I know that last year we threw around the idea of getting shirts and putting "merrillville highschool choir" or something like that now that it is a new year I think we should talk about ordering them. Also, I thought that sweatshirts might be a good idea with the weather beginning to get a little chilly coming up. Cost is not really an issue, because the thought of having a nice sweatshirt or tshirt showing pride for your choir is great. With the saying being "MERRILLVILLE CHOIR" and not saying specific groups there would be tons of people buying them and there should be some sort of large quantity deal thing.

Fundraiser
Submitted by Anonymous (not verified) on Tuesday, September 9, 2003 - 5:53pm General Choir Chat
Okay, the Justin Kolb concert fundraiser thing was a good idea I suppose, but it is really hard to get people to buy tickets. Okay so I sold one to my mother and I bought one, relatives live too far away, kids our age wouldn't even consider buying any of my tickets or going to the concert (they don't appreciate music like us), but I want to sell alot of tickets to help our choral program, any particular reason we didn't sell cookie dough or anything like that that our peers and neighbors and them would buy?
