Ashley Korak is a sophomore at Griffith High School. She began playing the violin at the age of 3. She has participated in auditioned youth orchestras since the age of 7, including Suburban Youth Strings, Northwest Indiana Youth Orchestra, Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp International String Orchestra, and currently is participating in Midwest Young Artists in Ft. Sheridan, IL. She has soloed with the NWI Youth Orchestra as well as two professional orchestras - Whiting Park Festival Orchestra and Northwest Indiana Symphony Orchestra. Ashley plans to study music at Indiana University and possibly Julliard and is also hoping for the chance to attend the Interlochen Arts Academy.
